Riordan has been a production technician in Newcastle for the past 5 years, establishing a passion for education, inclusivity and diversity within the Tech community and creating theatre that engages viewers in challenging and nuanced topics. Notably, he has worked for Young Peoples Theatre as a Lighting Designer, Operator, Stage Manager and Tutor. Riordan has also worked for many production companies including Bearfoot Theatre, Insight Acting, Apollo Arts, HSPA, Newcastle Theatre Company, Lindsay Street Players, Chookas Entertainment, Knock and Run, What Theatre Co, Noisy Jaybird and Rational Animals . His notable work includes Into The Woods (YPT 2024 - CONDA - Excellence in Lighting Design), Puffs (YPT 2023), Ruby Moon (LSP 2025), Macbeth (NTC 2025), The Birds (NTC 2025), The Goat or Who is Sylvia (Chookas Entertainment and Insight Acting 2025), Animal Farm (LSP 2025), Next to Normal (NTC 2026) & I and You (Knock and Run 2026)
