Based on the work Priscilla Queen Of The Desert
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert — The Musical plays Civic Theatre Newcastle from 17 December 2026. Based on the Academy Award–winning 1994 Australian film, it follows two drag queens and a transgender woman who board a battered tour bus named Priscilla and journey from Sydney into the outback to Alice Springs. What starts as a road trip becomes a dazzling story about friendship, family and finding your tribe — wrapped in feathers, sequins and the biggest floor-fillers ever written, from 'It's Raining Men' and 'I Will Survive' to 'Go West', 'Finally' and 'I Love the Nightlife'. Expect the eye-popping, award-winning costumes the show is famous for and a non-stop disco and pop songbook. A joyous night out at the Civic Theatre Newcastle — check performance dates, times and tickets below.
