Based on the work To Kill A Mockingbird
Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, staged by Sydney's Genesian Theatre Company. Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize–winning novel, this enduring American classic unfolds in the sleepy, sun-struck town of Maycomb, Alabama, in the grip of the 1930s Depression. Through the eyes of young Scout Finch, we watch her father — small-town lawyer Atticus Finch — defend Tom Robinson, a Black man wrongly accused, against the prejudice of an entire community. As Scout and her brother Jem lose their innocence to the realities around them, the story becomes a timeless plea for justice, empathy and the courage to do what's right when it's hardest. A powerful, humane night of theatre from the Genesian Theatre Company. See performance dates and ticket details below.
