It has been a busy few weeks for the platform. Theatre Connect and Film Connect now run as two windows onto one community. You get one account and one profile, shared across stage and screen. Today we are turning on the feature we are most excited about: pay-per-view streaming. Watch films, back the makers Filmmakers can now charge for their work directly on Film Connect. A film can be listed as a one-off purchase that is yours to keep, or as a time-limited rental. Creators can also turn on pay-what-you-want pricing. In that mode there is a small floor that covers streaming and processing costs, and anything a viewer chooses to pay above the floor goes straight to the artist. We want to be completely open about where your money goes. Every paid film shows a plain breakdown before you buy: what you pay, the platform fee, and what reaches the creator. There is no mystery cut. The platform fee is a flat 10% of the listed minimum, and it covers card processing, streaming, and the cost of running the service. That is the whole story. This is grassroots, direct-to-artist support, and we wanted the numbers to prove it. Everything you unlock lives in your new My Library. Purchases stay there for good, and rentals show the time you have left. Improvements across both sites A Cast and Crew directory. Browse every creative on the platform, filter by role, and find the right person for your next production. Richer profiles. Add a showreel, list your representation, and show off your credits. On any profile you can now tap a role to filter straight to that person's relevant work. Reviews and ratings. Audiences and creatives alike can rate and review any production, with an aggregate score on every show and every play in the Library. Follow what matters. Follow people, productions, works, companies, festivals and venues. We have also rolled all of your updates into a single tidy digest email instead of a flurry of separate ones. One account, two sites. Sign in once and your profile, follows and library travel with you across Theatre Connect and Film Connect. What is next This is the foundation for a lot more. If you make work, on stage or on screen, now is a great time to set up your profile, add your credits, and connect your account so audiences can support you directly. Thank you for being part of it.
